POST-RELEASE OF VELO PARK 2011

25-27 February 2011 the 7th edition of the International Specialised Trade Show "Velo Park 2011" took place in Moscow .The event has traditionally become the starting point of the new cycling season. On the eve of the active sales the leading players of cycling market demonstrated their latest collections of bicycles, parts, clothing, accessories and protective equipment. "Velo Park" is the only exhibition in Russia, which covers all aspects, tendencies and trends of the cycling industry and sports.

In 2011 "Velo Park" has moved to Crocus Expo, a new modern and comfortable exhibition venue, bringing together businessmen, experts and cycling fans from Russia, CIS, Asia and Europe. Many exhibitors and visitors appreciated the opportunities of the new venue and the high level of event organization. Among the exhibitors there were more than 50 companies from Russia and abroad. The extensive exhibitors' geography included Austria, Germany, China, Taiwan, the Netherlands, India, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania.

"Velo Park 2011" highlighted the main trends of cycling market development in Russia, representing new and actual products. The exhibition showed an increasing interest of the end customers to the city bikes and eco hybrid bikes with electric drive – the new trend of the season, as well as to the ergonomically designed folding bike with small wheels.
Special active zones gathered many visitors and cycling fans. In these zones "Velo Park Cup 2011" bike trial competitions, 2nd Winter Bike Constructors Cup of R.A.S.T.A. BIKE, as well as team and individual Bike Polo competitions took place. For the first time in Russia a mini cycle track MINIDROME was designed and built to hold the fixed gear bike races. The competition programme of the exhibition brought together the athletes from all remote corners of Russia.
The exhibition was visited by 12347 people during three exhibition days, proving again that "Velo Park" is a business event, but at the same time a bright show for all cycling fans, with new useful contacts, experience exchange, communications and positive emotions!
